CORONAVIRUS

CORONAVIRUS

The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases.

The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public

The risk to the general public is moderate especially if you have been in close contact with someone with coronavirus

Do you have any of these symptoms – a new continuous cough, loss of sense of smell/taste and a high temperature of 37.8 or higher .  If yes, please stay at home and self isolate for 7 days.  For serious symptoms call NHS 111

Do not go to a GP surgery, community pharmacy or hospital,  stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people.   Further information is available on https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/  For patients concerned they may have come into contact with someone who has, NHS 111 has created coronavirus pages that tell patients what they should do based on their particular circumstances on https://111.nhs.uk/service/covid-19
